Homer Lawson Bailey, Jr., age 89 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020.
Mr. Bailey was born on June 22, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Homer Lawson Bailey, Sr. and Lucille Jackson Bailey. Homer worked as lead mechanic for Delta Airlines and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and was also a member of Yonah Masonic Lodge 382 F&AM. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bailey; sisters, Sara Maniscalco, Blanche Goodman, Dola Reese Steely; brother, G.W. Bailey.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, David and June Bailey, Larry and Terry Bailey, and Donald and Sheri Bailey; brother, LeRoy Bailey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. John Yarbrough will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
