John “Jack” Meredith Long, age 78, of Dacula, GA passed away July 1, 2020. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Linda Jarrett Long, Dacula; daughters, Danelle Verduzco, California, Diedre Martin (Carl Booth), Buford, GA, and Gwendolyn (Jeremiah) Stoldt, Robbinsville, NJ; granddaughter, Isabell Stoldt, Robbinsville, NJ; and grandsons, Jesse, Robert, and Mason Verduzco; sister-in-law, Pamela Riddle; and nephews, Jarrett Riddle and Zachary Riddle. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Mr. Long was born on October 23, 1941. He was a veteran of the Air Force and Medic Pram 1962-1968. He graduated from San Diego High School and from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree. Mr. Long was retired from Park West Real Estate Company with over fifteen years, and from Walmart in Human Resources. He volunteered for Pet Rescue Canine Rescue services. Mr. Long was a member of Toastmasters and he was a very spiritual man. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. in a stateroom at Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
