Stephen H. 'Steve' Thrasher

Stephen H. “Steve” Thrasher, age 62, of Buford, GA passed away July 1, 2020.

He was preceded in death by parents, Tillman and Catherine Long Thrasher, Sr. Mr. Thrasher is survived by son, Stephen M. Thrasher, Kennesaw, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Tony Warbington, Buford, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Stacey Thrasher, Sugar Hill, GA and Ron and Tyler Thrasher, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Thrasher was born on December 27, 1957 in Prospect Park, PA. He was a 1975 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. He was a retired fireman from Gwinnett County Fire Department after twenty-five years of service. Mr. Thrasher was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Bennett and Rev. Frankie Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 3  from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, July 4 from 12:00 noon until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
