Roy Whitfield

Roy Whitfield, age 95, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday July 1, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Whitfield was born in Dahlonega to the late Ernest & Eva Mae Evans Whitfield. He was retired from Chicopee Mill and was a member of Central Baptist Church where he attended before his health declined. He Honorably served his Country in the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Maxine Crow Whitfield, daughter in law, Kimberly Ann Dyer Whitfield, & sister, Ethelene Stewart.

Survivors include, daughter, Barbara Judd; sons, Michael David (Patsy) Whitfield & William Benson Whitfield; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Due to the pandemic the family will hold a private graveside service 11a.m. Friday July 3, 2020 at the Alta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Maxey Ladd officiating.
