Charles “Ronald” McGuire

Charles “Ronald” McGuire, age 78, of Buford, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 yrs, Lucy Scott McGuire; step-daughter Runella Edmisten; daughter Molly McGuire; son, Rondell “Dink” Browning; brothers Oliver “Spud” McGuire and Leslie Doug McGuire.  Mr. McGuire is survived by son, Tommy McGuire, Buford, GA; son-in-Law, Duane Edmisten, Carnesville, GA; sister-in-law, Norma McGuire, Commerce, GA, Sharon McGuire, Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Tod (Gloria) Edmisten, Carnesville, GA, Shane (Michelle) Edmisten, Douglas, GA, Jady Edmisten, Carnesville, GA, Jody (Paul) Taylor, Clover, SC; great-grandchildren McKenzie Edmisten, Katelyn Edmisten, Jeffrey Wooten; several nieces and nephews.  Mr. McGuire was born January 4^th, 1942 in Cartersville, GA.  He graduated in 1961 from North Gwinnett High School and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. McGuire was retired from Phillips State Prison as a firearm instructor and was of the Baptist Faith.  Mr. McGuire was a Mason and a member of Buford Masonic Lodge No.292 F.A.M.  He was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed cooking and doing home improvements.  A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, GA.  Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating.
