Jetty Sue Southards Hamilton

Jetty Sue Southards Hamilton, age 73 of Mt. Airy, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2020 following an extended illness.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia on December 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Lee & Lena Hunnicutt Gragg. Jetty Sue worked for Orbit Manufacturing for many years and later retired from Rock Hill Farms. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, working puzzle books, and fishing with her husband, Leroy. Most of all Jetty Sue enjoyed precious time spent with her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Southards and a sister, Barbara Tyler.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Leroy Hamilton of Mt. Airy, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Betsy & Ben Allen of Demorest, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Buddy & Kay Hamilton of Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, Kristy & Nathan Taylor of Mt. Airy, GA; Brandi & Morgan Myers of Demorest, GA; Kayla Allen of Demorest, GA & her boyfriend, James Bingham of Clarkesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Kylie Taylor of Mt. Airy, GA; & Beau Myers of Demorest, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Tony & Janice Gragg of Clayton, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Linette & Lamar Alley, Jr. of Lakemont, GA; sister, Martha Straub of Clarkesville, GA; 2 Uncles; 1 Aunt; and a special bond with a few of her nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Kelley & Rev. Bill Trotter officiating.
