Roger Thurmond

Roger Thurmond, 62, of the New Bethel Community, passed away Friday morning, April 3, 2020, at his home.

Born February 23, 1958, in Stephens County, he was the son of Silas Kendall and Selma Ree Brown Thurmond. He was the brother of the late Judy Lynn Thurmond, and Patsy Lynn Boulineau. He was retired from Coates America of Toccoa.

He is survived by his wife Susan Barnes Thurmond; one son, Devin Thurmond; daughter, Crystal Thurmond; two step-sons Michael Hallford and Dustin Hallford; four brothers, and sisters-in-law, Joe Dan & Stacey Thurmond, Ed & Patti Thurmond, Jimmy & Darlene Thurmond, and David & Liz Thurmond; two sisters and brother-in-law Geneva Savage, and Cathy & Tim Thackston; his special little dogs, Robbie, Heidi, and Zeb.

Memorial Services with be held June 27, 2020 at 2 PM at the Chapel of Ginn Funeral Home. The family will have a private visitation from 1 P.M until the service time.
