Mr. Thomas Glaze, age 96, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020.
Mr. Glaze was born on September 23, 1923, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Joseph and Wilda Winkler Glaze. He was a self-employed carpenter and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. Mr. Glaze was preceded in death by son-in-law, JB Allison; and his siblings, Joseph Eugene Glaze, Ethelene Herrington, Herschel Satterfield, Lillie House, Gladys Arron, Eunice Mae Satterfield and Viola White. He was a deacon and member of White Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlie Mae Freeman Glaze; daughter, Wilma Allison; grandson, Jimmy (Darlene) Rogers; great-grandchildren, Kenneth (Stacy) Rogers and Keisha (Brett) Rogers; great-great-grandchildren, Brett Mosley, Jr., Breah Rogers, Emmalee (Danny) Parker, Aaron Vaughn, and Casey Vaughn; and great-great-great grandchild, Leah Parker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, June 23, 2020 at White Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Lewis Fortner and Rev. Anthony Shore will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
