Mrs. JoAnn Stroud Ritchie, age 74 of Williams Bridge Extension, Toccoa passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Leo Luther Stroud and Gwinell Watkins Stroud, she was born March 12, 1946 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Stephens and Franklin Counties all her life. She was retired from Scovill Fastners after 22 years of service and later worked with the Stephens County Convenience Sight on Tower Road. She was a member of The Pointe. She loved people and loved her cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ritchie in 1991 and by a brother, Kenneth Stroud in 2015.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Ritchie of Toccoa and Keith and Trish Ritchie of Winder; daughter, Anne Ritchie of Thomson, Georgia; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Smith of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and JoAnn Stroud of Toccoa.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, June 23, 2020, 4 O’clock p.m. at Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Chad Smith officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bill Pulliam, Rodney Chatman, Adam Ivester, Dawson Prince, Keaton Yearwood and David Arnold.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 1 p.m. until time to leave for the service. Due to the current conditions concerning the health and well being of our community, social distancing is required.
Interment will follow in the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. JoAnn Stroud Ritchie.
