Ben Phophitt

Mr. Ben David Prophitt, age 78 of Highway 123, Toccoa passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Ike Vernon Prophitt and Minnie Sue Lankford Prophitt, he was born October 20, 1941 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived most of his life. He was employed with Fieldale for a number of years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Prophitt.

Survivors include a sister, Louise Parker McClain of Toccoa; two nieces, Rosa and Tres Thompson of Plano, Texas and Lainie and Steve Hughes of Toccoa; great niece and nephew, Lucy and Avery Koch and John Thompson.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, June 16, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Roselane Cemetery with The Reverend Stacy Penland officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dan Roberts, Max Sparks, Kip Sparks and Tommy Cordell.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until the service. Due to the current conditions of our community, social distancing is required.

Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Ben David Prophitt.
