Troy Eugene Elrod

Mr. Troy Eugene Elrod, age 57 of Hewitt Drive, Toccoa passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at his residence.

A son of Martha Gray Elrod and the late Ralph Howell Elrod, he was born March 22, 1963 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He worked with Habersham Plantation for 23 years and later with Trachte. He was a member of Christ Fellowship. He loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Collette Massey Elrod.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Gray Elrod of Toccoa; his wife of the home, Leta Hewitt Elrod; his children, Christy and Kevin Gerbert of Rabun County, Tonya and Michael d’Ablaing, Aurora Elrod, Trenton Elrod all of Toccoa, Katie Fowler and Christen Fowler of the home, Seth and Tiffany Fowler, Brandon and Megan Fowler and Brandie and John Mason all of Toccoa; grandchildren, Elizabeth d’Ablaing, Deanna Warren, Dallas Gerbert, Devin Gerbert, Carson Canup, Hunter Canup, Lincoln Fowler, Leah Fowler and Maverick Fowler; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Kay Elrod of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Gary Corley of Toccoa.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 13, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at Christ Fellowship with The Reverend Scott Collett and Mr. Nicky Evans officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Nicky Evans, Carlos Brock, Hayden Collett, Anthony Adams, Tracey McCroskey and Marty Maney.

The family will receive friends at Christ Fellowship on Saturday from noon until the service time, keeping in mind the social distancing during this time as well as during the service. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Middle River Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Troy Eugene Elrod.
