Lamar Fleming

Lamar Fleming, 78 of Gainesville, formerly of Buford, Ga. passed away Monday June 8, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Little Davenport Chapel, with the Rev. Edward Chambers and Rev. Steve Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of Flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospital at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

Mr. Fleming was born in Buford, Ga. to the late Eugene and Angie Ruff Fleming, he was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, he graduated from Buford High School in 1959 where he played Football and Baseball, he was a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America and he had a passion for racing.

He is survived by son and daughter in law - Tim and Jennifer Fleming of Kennesaw, daughter - Christina Robinson of Gainesville, Son - Dwayne McFarland of Lula, Companion - Shelia Fleming, brother and sister in law - Emory and Linda Fleming, sister - Virginia Saine, 2 grandkids, Archer Robinson and Chester Fleming as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
