Kenneth Franklin

Obituary Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2020

Rev. Kenneth Arlin Franklin, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Deuteronomy 5:16 Honor your Father and your Mother as the Lord your God has commanded you so that you may live long and it will go well with you in the land.

It is also said, “The legacy a man leaves behind is a testimony of the life he has lived.” As Kenneth Franklin transitioned from this life to that of his eternal home in Heaven, He leaves behind a household that professes Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Deuteronomy 6: 5-9 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Kenneth Franklin has done this to the best of his ability. Whether at home, at church, in the hospital, shopping talking to complete strangers, or while serving His Lord with his mouth and heart at the nursing home. This was his calling and mission field. Everyone he met always knew it was Christ whom he served.

2 Peter 1: 5-8, 10-11 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love. If you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Kenneth Franklin, also known as Daddy, Grand Daddy, Papa, Uncle, Brother, Friend and Pastor, has shown these qualities in increasing measure.

After being a Pastor to so many in the community with the label Pastor for over 13 years, his pastors’ heart of love and compassion never failed. Therefore, the scripture verse 11 says: He, Kenneth Franklin, has received a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
