Lorene M. Roberts

Mrs. Lorene M. Roberts, 87, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Whaley and Rev. Darryl Womack will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on February 1, 1933 in White County, GA she was the daughter of the late Oscar McKay and Marrell York Hicks. She was retired from Pittman Dental Lab where she was an accountant. Mrs. Roberts was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her grandchild, William Byron Roberts and brother, Gene McKay.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ralph A. Roberts of Flowery Branch; daughter, Janet L. Bethea of Nashville, TN; daughter and son in law, Vicky and Wayne Anderson of Newnan, GA; son and daughter in law, Sammy Andrew and Carolyn Roberts of Gainesville; grandchildren, Kerrie Henry, David Russell Vines, Casi Napier, Paige Conker, Trevis Roberts, Kevin Savage, Heather Tate, Amy Whaley, Andy Roberts; sisters, Myrtle Commack of Snellville, Carolyn Shirley of Cornelia; brother, Boyd McKay of Cleveland; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
