Frank V. Janik, age 82, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Monday, June 1st, 2020, peacefully at home. He was born November 6th, 1937, in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the only child of Frank and Catherine Prygon Janik. Frank was preceded in death by his first wife of 17 years, Judith Wegrzyn Janik of Niagara Falls, NY.
Frank Served in New York State National Guard from 1955-1963 as a medic. He graduated from the university of Buffalo School of Pharmacy in 1959 and was a partner in Saraceni Drugs before moving to Atlanta in 1980. In Atlanta, he was a pharmacist at Drug Emporium and retired from CVS in 2002.
Frank is survived by his wife Joan Pasek Janik of 41 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia “Patty” and Timothy Taylor of Dryden, MI, and Jacqueline “Jackie” and Frank Lyes, II of Atlanta; six wonderful grandchildren, Zachary Barrington, Katie Raines, Shannon Roux, Christian Barrington, Caroline Lyles, and Frank A. Lyles, III; and 1 wonderful great grandchild, Dean Roux.
Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served actively at Saint Brendan’s Catholic Church.
Celebration of life for Mr. Janik will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Cumming, GA.
In lie of flowers, donation may be made to St. Brendan’s Capital Campaign in honor of Frank.
