Mrs. Cochran was born in Hall County on September 27, 1926 to the late W. Price Reed and Sarah Scroggs Reed of Oakwood, GA.   She is survived by her daughter Beth Cochran Lathem and her husband Jerry Lathem, and her son William Brent Cochran and his wife Christy Cochran.   She is also survived by four grandchildren and their families, Brad and Emma Lathem, Kristen and Brandon Butler, grandsons Chandler Cochran, Charlie Cochran, and her great grandchildren Jack and Sam Butler.    She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, William Perino Cochran, several siblings and spouses Wade (Mildred) Reed, Myron (Betty) Reed, Margaret (Claude) McClure, and Kathleen Reed.    Mrs. Cochran is survived by her sisters Hazel Smith, Vivian Conner, and Blanche Couch.

Mrs. Cochran was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.   She was a member and children’s Sunday School teacher at Corinth Baptist Church for many years, where she also was a faithful choir member and loved to sing.   Mrs. Cochran enjoyed vegetable gardening for many years with her husband Perino.   They grew lots of vegetables in their gardens to share with their family and friends in the community.   Mrs. Cochran also loved baking, and made many delicious pound cakes and other desserts enjoyed by her family and friends throughout the years.   She loved to go shopping with her daughter Beth and always looked forward to going on the weekends to the Mall to shop at Belk’s Department Store.   She was active well into her late 80’s, outgoing and fun to be around, and loved to stay on the go.   She truly loved her family and her friends.

The family would like to thank all of the special caregivers who took such great care of Mrs. Cochran at the New Horizons Longterm Care Facility and the NE Georgia Health System.
