Gerald Marvin "Jerry" Wilkes

Gerald Marvin "Jerry" Wilkes, age 66 of Toccoa, Georgia, formerly of Madison County went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

Born in Athens, Georgia on March 28, 1954, he was a son of the late Cecil & Bertha "Betty" McGee Wilkes. Jerry was a 1972 graduate of Madison County High School and served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1974-1978. He was a self-employed entrepreneur in the construction industry for many years. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed precious time with his family & friends. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law, Nicole "Nikki" Wilkes Dyer & husband, Trevor of Toccoa, GA; Lacey MiShea Turner & husband, Adam of, Quinnesec, MI; brother, James Byron "Jamie"  Wilkes of Colbert, GA; sister, Gail Wilkes Bridges of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Trent Wilkes & Kelly Hairston; as well as a host of friends. 

Mr. Wilkes wishes were to be cremated & no formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jerry Wilkes to the local Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post # 7720, 423 V.F.W Post Road Cornelia, GA. 30531
