Essie Lee Treadaway

Essie Lee Treadaway, age 82, of Roswell, GA, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. She was born in 1937, to the late Clifford and Mamie Thompson. She was a member of God’s House in Cumming, GA. Essie worked for Gwinnett and Fulton County Schools systems for many years. She loved spending time with her family. Essie always enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Treadaway; son, Jeff Thompson; and brothers, C.L. Thompson, and James Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Eddie) Long; brother; Hoyt Thompson and wife; grandchildren, Corey Thompson, Lacey Thompson, Alex Thompson, Becca Thompson, Wes Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Travis Cooper, and Audry Long; 13 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 12 noon in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Danny Ray Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
