Robert “Bob” Petersen

Mr. Robert “Bob” Petersen, 68, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on March 4, 1952 in Staten Island, NY he was the son of the late Jack Alexander and Dorothy Matheson Petersen. Mr. Petersen served in the United States Air Force. He was a project manager for Environmental Management Services and attended Free Chapel.

Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife, Maureen Graham Petersen of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Sean and Bethany Petersen of Cumming, daughters, Kasey Petersen of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Erin Petersen of Greenville, SC; grandson Peyton Petersen of Greenville, SC; granddaughters, Lillian Petersen of Cumming, Ava Grace Petersen of Cumming; grandson, Cooper Clark of Greenville, SC; sisters, Nancy Stevenson of Toms River, NJ, Debbie Swarts of Branchville, NJ, Karen Jorgenson of Mays Landing, NJ and a number of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 414238 Boston, MA 02241.
