DeWayne Thomas

DeWayne Thomas, 80, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Wellborn will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on August 25, 1939 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late J.W. and Dorothy Lou Gailey Thomas. He was retired from Horne Wilson where he was a plumber. Mr. Thomas was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Wellborn Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his brother and sister in law, Rev. Dewey and Elaine Thomas of Gainesville; sister in law and brother in law, Jim and Judy Baxter of Valdosta and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
