Virginia Dessie Ivey

Mrs. Virginia Dessie Ivey, 86, of Gainesville passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 following an extended illness.

A graveside service will be held at in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. Due to the current pandemic this will be private graveside service.

Born on March 8, 1934 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Odessa Hosch. She was retired from Harris Calorific where she worked in quality control. She was a member of New Haven Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ivey is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Ivey; sister, Christine Deaton; brothers, Winfred Hosch, Hyuel Hosch, Leon Hosch, and Otis Hosch.

Mrs. Ivey is survived by her son, Wayne Ivey and wife Karen; granddaughter, Madison Gee and husband Jacob; sister, Martha Pass and brother, Garlon Hosch and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Haven Church 615 White Sulphur Rd, Gainesville, GA 30501.
