Carolyn Potts White

Carolyn Potts White, age 84, of Auburn, GA passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Vincent Lee White and Noah Tilton Samples, Jr. She is survived by her children, Cathy Brannon, Auburn, GA, Jackie Samples, Auburn, GA, Delilah and Tommy Hewitt, Anderson, SC and Noah June and Rick Sandlin, Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, Anthony Brannon, Erica Brannon, Kellie Calley, Kevin and Sierra Hewitt, Kenric and Haihua Hewitt, Vincent Sandlin, and Lacey Sandlin; and great grandchildren, McKenzie Pepitone, Reese, Skylar and Zoey Talley, and Lee Brannon. Mrs. White helped raised her sister’s children, Harold Benton, Mike Benton and Sandra Benton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. White was born July 7, 1935 in Lula, GA. She was retired from Warren Featherbone after twenty years of service as a seamstress. Mrs. White was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sugar Hill, GA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Shadburn and Rev. David Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27^th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
