Mrs. Elaine S. Carter, age 86, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020.
Mrs. Carter was born to the late Joseph Andrew and Crew Click Sensabaugh. In addition to parents, she is preceded in death by son, Fredrick Carter and sisters, Doris Powell, Ruth Kilgore, Louise Sensabaugh and Anna Anderson. Her first real job was at the FBI in Washington, DC and Atlanta. She was also retired from O.A.A after 20 years as design manager and a member of the Christian Faith. She loved every morning as she would sing the blessings: This is the Day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in Him! May the Lord bless and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Roma and Stan Sayer, Bowersville, GA, and Anna and Tommy Bowen, Clermont; grandchildren, Marisa and Rett Junkens, Athens and Joseph Keith Dorsey, Bowersville; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Jim Olivarri, Brookville, MD; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allan and Anna Sensabaugh, and Doug and Gayle Sensabaugh, all of Mt. Carmel, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Gateway Memory Park. The Rev. Josh Chatham and Rev. Brandon Hester will officiate.
