Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Franklin Simpson, age 76 of Orlando Drive, Toccoa passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A son of the late Fred and Dovie Crowe Simpson, he was born September 18, 1943 in Knoxville, Tennessee, having lived in Toccoa since 1987. He was retired from Dempster with 31 years of service. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where he served on numerous committees of the church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Dowell, Fred, Jr., Bobby Joe, Raymond and Lawrence Simpson and by two sisters, Mary Ellen and Mildred.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Rose Morrow Simpson; daughter, Trina Simpson of Ringgold, Georgia; grandson, Travis and Sabrina Wolfe; great-grandchild, Keena; adopted grandchildren, Lindsay Moore and Matthew Moore; sister, Nancy Garrett of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Graveside service will be Thursday, May 28, 2020, 11 O’clock a.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Rick Gillian and The Reverend Walton McNeal officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joe Green, Matt Moore, Tim Matthews, Doug Matthews, Brett Deitz and Luke Deitz.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Simpson.
