Wendell Eugene Black

Mr. Wendell Eugene Black age 62 of Murrayville, Ga passed away on Thursday May 21, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday May 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in The Edge Church Cemetery formerly Rock Hill C.H. Church Cemetery in Gainesville, Ga. Reverend James Kanaday will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 23, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wendell was born on July 27, 1957 in Gainesville, Ga to the late George W. Black and Margie O’Shields Black. He was a Line Haul Truck Driver for Southeastern Freight Lines and was of the Christian Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, James and Julia O’Shields, and brother-in-law, Farrel Martin.

Mr. Black is survived by his sister, Janice Martin of Murrayville, special friends, Patricia Garrett of Gainesville, Linda Black of Ellijay, Tony Reed of Ellijay, Kirk Tyson of Carnesville, and a host of cousins and other family and friends.
