Matilda Louise Hickey

Matilda Louise Hickey, age 60 of Cleveland, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

She was born in Paintsville. Kentucky on February 1, 1960 to the late John Burke and Virginia Preston Burke.  Matilda will be remembered fondly as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  She will be greatly missed by those she met in her life journey.

After graduating High School, Ms. Hickey attended Columbus State Community College where she majored in Computer Science and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She had lived in White County for last 20 years, staying from time to time for extended periods in Florida. In addition to her father, John Burke, Ms. Hickey is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Danielle Elaine Hickey.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Bryan Dymek, Cleveland; grandchildren, Karissa Dymek, Mark Dymek and Jayce Bode; mother, Elaine Burke of Loveland, Ohio and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jane Burke, also of Loveland, Ohio; several nieces and nephews also survive.
