Barbara Ann Morris McClurg

Barbara Ann Morris McClurg, age 83, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Ms. Morris was born on May 2, 1937 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Rev. James Morris and Nellie Terry Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.H. McClurg; daughters, Karen McClurg, Myra Lynn McClurg; sisters, Lavada Dorsey, and Margie Clark. She was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and involved with the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Morris Family Singers. Ms. Barbara was a very kind and generous woman, she was known for her beautiful smile. Ms. Barbara probably went to heaven shouting and rejoicing.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Ann McClurg, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Rylan Moody, Dana Moody, Evan Moody, all of Alto; sisters, Deborah Burrell and Wendell, of Cornelia; Emily Anderson and Andy, of Cornelia; Sarah Harrison Boatwright, of Cornelia; brother, James Richard Morris and Dorothy, of Alto.

Private Graveside Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Trotter officating.
