Barry Alvin Barrett, Jr.

Barry Alvin Barrett, Jr., 51, of Gainesville passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in the Chapel of Memories in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Interment will be in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.

Born on May 11, 1969 in Gainesville, he was the son of Rebecca (Becky) Sheridan Barrett and of the late Barry Alvin Barrett, Sr. He worked at Stone Creek in Buford in cabinetry. Mr. Barrett was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, Mr. Barrett is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Verona Murphy “Memaw”, grandfathers and grandmothers, Wm. Garney Sheridan, Thelma Viola Sheridan, Roy Barrett, Sr. and Ella Ree Barrett; aunt, Patsy Turpin; cousins, Tommy Mealor and Julie Barber Finch.

Mr. Barrett is survived by his mother, Rebecca Barrett; aunt, Elizabeth Black; uncle, Wm. Gary Sheridan; aunt, Judy Robertson; uncles, Brent Barrett, Bruce Barrett;  aunt and uncle, Betty Barrett and Bryan Barrett; cousins, Susie, Nancy, Joey, Billie Jo, Scott, Alvin, Donna, Jason, Misty and a number of other relatives.
