Thelma Mae Martin Cox

Mrs. Thelma Mae Martin Cox, 85, of Gainesville passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on March 28, 1935 in Dawson County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Belle Clark Martin. She was retired from Con-Agra where she was an accounting clerk. Mrs. Cox was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her husband, Cornell Cox; sisters, Mary Dean Gooch, Kathleen Stevens and Brother, James Martin.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her son, Howell “Carl” Cox of Gainesville; son, Dan Cox of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Jeff and Kathy Cox of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Matt and Patricia Cox of Cumming; grandchildren, Tiffany Peebles (Corey), Renee Cox, Christy Britton (John), Ryan Cox; great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Abigail, Emma, Madison, Kate, Andy, Leannah; sisters, Carolyn Vickers of Gainesville, Frances Rogers of Clermont and a number of other relatives.
