Janice "Chiggar" Lynn Martin

Ms. Janice “Chiggar” Lynn Martin age 59 of Oakwood, Ga passed away on Thursday May 14, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center- Braselton following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday May 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Burgamy will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday May 16, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Chiggar was born on January 19, 1961 in Hall County, Ga to the late Ralph D. Martin and Carolyn Walden Black. Chiggar was retired from Hugh Waters Poultry and was a member of Liberty Bible Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, special parents Ralph and Doris Gillespie, grandparents Carnell and Mary Martin, Desser Martin, Homer and Mary Walden, brother, Thomas Mark Martin, great nephew, Lucas McBrayer-Martin.

          Chiggar is survived by her step-father and step-mother, Richard and Barbara Black, brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Martin (Gayle) of Homer, sister and brother-in-law, Joann Smith (Philip) of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Jenny Millwood (Royce) of Flowery Branch, sister and brother-in-law, Kay Hyde (Tommy) of Oakwood, brother and sister-in-law, Randy Martin (Mattie) of Cumming, sister and brother-in-law, Pam Cagle (Kenneth) of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Lisa Cape (Shane) of Commerce, special sisters Ruth Gillespie, Myrtle Beach, SC and Beth Gillespie, Puerto Rico, nieces and nephews, Jaime, Kim, Cheryl, Nathan, Jon, Matt, Sam, Logan, Ashley, Josh, Robert, Morgan, Triston, Billy, Katie, numerous great nieces and nephews, and a special relationship with Kylee McBrayer,  and Chiggar’s pets, 3 dogs, Socks, Dottie, and Buford.
