Leonard Wiley Jr. passed away at the age of 82 in the presence of family on May 13th, 2020 in Clermont, Georgia after courageously battling cancer.
Leonard was born October 24th, 1937 in Hall County to Minnie and Leonard Wiley Sr., the youngest of seven brothers and four sisters. He graduated from Riverbend Highschool in 1955 and then went on to serve in the US Army, spending two years of active duty in Germany and in the reserves for four. He retired from General Motors in 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Grier Wiley, who he spent 55 wonderful years with, his four daughters and their spouses—Cindy Wiley and Swayne Oliver, Jane and Danny Thomas, Lori Turpin and Clay Browning, and Leslie and Stacy Smith—and his eight grandchildren and their spouses—Katie and Bill Lomax, Wiley Oliver, Kassie and Andrew Taylor, Wyatt Oliver, Weylin Oliver, Lainie Turpin, Mallori Turpin, and Fletcher Smith. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a friend to all who knew him.
