Bonnie Mae Jackson Staton, age 99, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020.
Mrs. Staton was born on August 25, 1920, in Hall County, to the late Hubert and Maggie Whitmire Jackson. She was retired from the White County School System where she worked in the lunchroom and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Kermett Staton; granddaughters, Fay Lisa Staton and Kay Louise Staton; grandson, Joseph Steve Staton; siblings, Warner (Bill) Jackson, Henry Jackson, Daisy Jackson White, Emma Lee Jackson Taylor, and Dora Jackson Staton.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Peffer and Bonnie Sue Staton, Cleveland; grandchildren and spouses, Velma and Curt DeGroff, Randy and Shawn Dean, and Steve and Missy Dean; great-grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Ann and Stacy Crump, Ashley Heather Uecker, Siara Victoria Abbott, Spencer William Uecker, Autumn Hope Uecker, Gray Danes, Evan Danes, Amanda Dean Sockwell, great-great-grandchildren, Caleb James Crump, Dresden Abbott, and Sebastian Abbott.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Matt Stowers and the Rev. Donald Fuller will officiate. Mrs. Lisa Crump and Mrs. Velma DeGroff will also speak.
