Darlene O’Shields

Darlene O’Shields, 72, of Flowery Branch passed away Friday, May 8, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral home. Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 11, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to the current pandemic this will be a drop in visitation with a maximum of 10 people in the parlor at any time.

Born on May 25, 1947 in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Frances Hembree O’Shields. She was a legal secretary for John Crudup and attended Free Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. O’Shields is preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Tilson and sisters, Patti Davies and Onnie Howington.

Mrs. O’Shields is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kimberly and Troy Pollay of Reliance, TN; sons and daughters in law, Rick and Jane Tilson of Dahlonega, Derek and Amanda Miller of Hoschton; brother, Tracy O’Shields of Gainesville; sister and brother in law, Malinda and Archie Kanaday of Gainesville; caregiver, Euwell Parks of Flowery Branch; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
