James H. Thomas, age 56 of Buford, GA, died suddenly Thursday, April 30, 2020.  A family visitation will be held at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. James is survived by his wife, Doreen Thomas, Buford; Brother, Mark Thomas, Dunwoody; Parents, Becky Plank, FL, Lamar Thomas, Duluth;  Mother in Law, Betty Zimmerman, Atlanta; Father in law, Bill (Myrna) Zimmerman, Dacula; Brother in law, Dan Zimmerman (Cindy Rogers), Buford; Sisters in law, Jill Aeschleman, IL, Kathleen Froess (Mike) and children, CA;  Best Friend, Billy Brown, Lawrenceville.  Mr. Thomas was a lifelong resident of metro Atlanta and was an IT Technician with Piedmont Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hiking, kayaking and biking.
