George Sheldon Drake

Mr. George Sheldon Drake, age 78, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Memorial Park South Cemetery.

Mr. Drake was born November 25, 1941 to the late Ralph & Claire Drake in Detroit, Michigan.  A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, he was a member of Free Chapel and owner of American Photo Copy.  He was a graduate of Michigan State University, earning his Masters in Finance.

Mr. Drake is survived by his wife, Gail Drake of Gainesville; children, George & Natalie Drake, II of Lawrenceville, James Drake of Asheville, North Carolina, Christine Cunningham of Kettering, Ohio and Stephanie Knight of Smyrna; step-children, Jason & Kari Smith of Athens and Jeff & Tina Smith of Colbert; several grandchildren; siblings Stephen & Deanna Bialkowski of Hyde Park, Utah; Judi Johnson of Cartersville and Nancy & Michael Baldridge of Michigan; and several nieces & nephews.
