Joseph Sterling Washburn

Joseph Sterling Washburn, age 79, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Diane Washburn. He is survived by his children; Danielle (Jeff) Lisenbey, Gainesville, GA, Joseph (Jennifer Washburn, Cape Coral, FL, Peter Washburn, Gainesville, GA; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Washburn was born February 28, 1941 in Chicago, IL

A 1959 graduate of Loyola High School in Chicago, IL, 1963 graduate of St. Thomas College with a bachelors degree, 1974 graduate of the University of Chicago with a master degree.  He retired from United stationers as a human resource executive. 

Mr. Washburn was a member of The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. He was also a member of the Cape Coral Sea Hawk Remote Control model airplanes.

No formal service is planned at this time.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society on N.E. Georgia Gainesville, GA in memory of Joseph S. Washburn
