Dorothy Payne Bryant

Mrs. Dorothy Payne Bryant age 79 of Toccoa passed away Thursday April 23, 2020 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Fred and Juanita Banks Payne, she was born July 7, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was known as the Crochet Queen of Toccoa. She is resting peacefully on the other side and is happy in Heaven. She was preceded in death by sons Timothy and Michael and a grandson Robert Hodge.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Jennifer Hodge of Suwanee, Georgia and Janice and Joe Williams of Toccoa, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law Morris and Joyce Payne of Flowery Branch, Thaddeus and Patricia Payne of Buford, Terry Payne and Randall Payne of Norcross.

A celebration will be held in the near future.

Interment will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Due to the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation. Please keep the family in your prayers in the coming days.
