Betty Ruth Bates

Betty Ruth Bates 78, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

Betty was a member of New Light Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her husband William Bates, of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Children; William A. Bates of Mesa, Arizona; and Deborah Lynn Bates Courtney  of Cumming, Georgia.

Grandchildren; Sarah Bates, David Bates, Jeremy Diedrick, and Jessica Courtney.

Great-grandchildren; Nate Diedrick, Sammy Diedrick, and Elijah Elzey.

Entombment will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Georgia.

A celebration of life will take place at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on a later date.
