James Edward Wilson, age 60, of Lula passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was born March 26, 1960 in Gainesville to the late Oliver B. Wilson & Elsie Baugh Wilson. He was the owner & operator of James E. Wilson Backhoe Service for 20 plus years and had worked the last 8 years at Metro Green Recycling. Mr. Wilson enjoyed hunting and restoring cars. He was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his first wife, Lori Beth Wilson; brothers, Bethel Wilson & Clifford Wilson; grandson, James Shannon Wilson.
Survivors include, wife, Ashley Wilson of Lula, sons, James L. (Crystal) Wilson of Clermont, Josh (Krista) Wilson of Lula & Chase Giles of Toccoa; brothers, J.C. Wilson & Hoyt Wilson both of Lula; sisters, Clara Mae Chambers, Nancy Browning, Darlene Seymour, & Joann Jones all of Lula; grandchildren, Makayla Wilson, Katie Wilson, Caitlen Wilson, Cohen Wilson & Nolan Wilson.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 22, 2020 at the Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Morgan officiating.
Due to the Governor’s request due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the family will hold a drop in visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 21, 2020 at the funeral home and only 10 people will be allowed in the room for everyone’s protection.
