Mr. Nick Andrew Scoggins, age 42, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Scoggins was born in Athens to Aubry and Sheila McGinnis Scoggins of Commerce. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and employed as a welder.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Scoggins is survived by his children, Cade Scoggins of Lula, Cole Scoggins and Isabelle Scoggins both of Jefferson; and a brother, Chad Scoggins of Canton, NC.
Due to the recommendation of the CDC, and the executive order issued by Governor Brian Kemp banning all gatherings of 10 or more people, services for Mr. Scoggins are being planned accordingly to comply with this order.
There will be a drive-thru visitation at Mount Olive Baptist Church Thursday, April 16 from 1 to 2 PM. Anyone who wishes may wave to the family from their cars while still practicing social distancing. There will be no visitation at the family’s home. Following drive-thru visitation, the immediate family will have a graveside service at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Wilson, Rev. Verlin Reece and Rev. Blake Carter officiating.
