Joyce Barnes

Joyce Barnes age 84 of Gainesville passed away Monday April 13, 2020 at Bell Minor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Barnes was born on December 5^th, 1935 in Roopville, Georgia to the late Marvin Lee Hendrix and Norma Hendrix. Survivors include, daughter Sherry Williamson of Carrolton along with the staff and residents at Bell Minor that became family to her. She was preceded in death by her twelve siblings: Paul Hendrix, Milford Hendrix, Hubert Hendrix, M.L. Hendrix, Harold Hendrix, Nava Bartlett, Rubie Jackson, Jewell Knight, Reba McCoy, Stella Bray, and Lula Bell Watson.

Joyce has been a resident at Bell Minor for the past 9 years where she became known as “Aunt Joyce”. Aunt Joyce has become family to all of the staff and residents and she will truly be missed.

Private burial services will be held at a later date at Alta Vista Cemetery.
