Anthony Roberts

Anthony Roberts, age 75, of Ft. Payne, AL and formerly of Suwanee, GA passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Joe and Pauline Peevy Roberts; step mother, Ruth Roberts; brother-in-law, Donald Johnson; former wife, Kathleen Roberts Almond; and daughter, Jennie Roberts. Mr. Roberts is survived by his daughter, Paula J. Roberts Mitchell, age 52, Gainesville, GA; grandsons, James Anthony Mitchell, age 27, Gainesville, GA and Michael Joseph Mitchell, age 25, Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Brenda Roberts, Sugar Hill, GA; sisters, Judy Roberts Johnson,, Jefferson, GA and Lisa Roberts Newberry and husband, Al, Sugar Hill, GA; aunt, Mrs. Marion Roberts, Sugar Hill, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Roberts was born October 24, 1944 in Lawrenceville, GA. He was a 1962 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Roberts retired from General Motors, Chevrolet Parts, after thirty years of service. He loved his horses and riding them. He was a member of Level Creek United Methodist Church in Suwanee, GA. Mr. Roberts was loved by all his family and will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be planned at a later time after the virus ban has been lifted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eagle Ranch, P. O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502 in memory of Anthony Roberts.
