Hartwell Jinks Jarrett

Hartwell Jinks Jarrett, age 80, of Gillsville passed away Tuesday April 7, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Jarret was born May 14, 1939 in Gillsville to the late William Henry Jarrett & Geneva Buffington Jarrett. Hartwell spent most of his life working in auto parts and he was a self-employed painter. He was gifted artist with an eye for beauty in the most unexpected places and a sense of humor that could brighten the heaviest of days. He blessed our lives beyond measure and he is loved beyond compare.  We fill the hole in our hearts with the peace in knowing we will see him again one day. 

Survivors include, wife of 60 years, Peggy Philyaw Jarrett; sons, Lamar “Bino” (Kelly) Jarrett, Dane (Andrea) Jarrett & Joshua (Heather) Jarrett; daughters, Deanne (Tommy) Murphy, Pamela (Tim) Free & Jeanie Jarrett; special chosen daughter, Paula Shope; brother, Billy (Dorothy) Jarrett; 9 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by son in law, Kenny Loggins & brother, Daniel Jarrett.

Private family graveside services were held Wednesday April 8, 2020 at the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
