Rita Ellen Bode

On April 2nd, 2020 Rita Ellen Bode went on to be with the Lord. Rita was born and raised In New York City. It was in New York that Rita met her husband of 60 years, Louis Bode. Rita was a light to all she came in contact with. Her love for life and people showed with her contagious smile. She loved to make people laugh and always had a story to tell. She was the definition of selfless and always put her family and all the people around her first. She retired from St. Petersburg College as an Admissions secretary in 2000.  In her day she was also a school crossing safety officer, a realtor, President of her ladies church group and mother of two. 

Rita is survived by her husband Lajos “Louis” Bode and her children, Maria Forcey and Louis Bode. Maria Forcey and husband Richard Forcey and grandchild Richard Forcey, II. Rita’s second child Louis Bode with wife Chastidy Bode and grandchildren Steven Bode, Garrett Bode, and Noah Bode.
