Mizzou beats Kansas; hones in on BCS title game
Unthinkable in September, Missouri is one victory away from playing for its first national championship. Chase Daniel threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns and the third-ranked Tigers ruined No. 2 Kansas' unbeaten season Saturday night with a 36-28 victory in the most important football game either school ever played.

Auburn AD: Texas A&M hasn't called about Tuberville
Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said Saturday night he hasn't been contacted by Texas A&M representatives requesting permission to interview Tigers coach Tommy Tuberville for the vacant job, but planned to meet with the coach over the next few days.

Humphrey, Lady Dogs win Junkanoo title
Georgia survived another close call, and Tasha Humphrey thinks that bodes well for the Bulldogs' hopes this season. Humphrey finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds and the eighth-ranked Bulldogs held off upset-minded Southern California 59-57 on Saturday night to win the Junkanoo Jam's Freeport Division championship.

Raiders roll the dice in second OT to beat Cherokee
Trailing 35-34 in the second overtime to Cherokee, Habersham Central football coach Gene Cathcart decided rolled the dice. Cathcart called for a two-point conversion and quarterback Bo Hatchett responded taking the ball up the middle for the two points and a 36-35 win to cap a wild night for the Raiders in their Class AAAA second round game.
