A Winder man was arrested Sunday night after he reportedly hit two women with his pickup truck in a Gainesville parking lot.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Bamboo Express Car Wash on Jesse Jewel Parkway near Atlanta Road. Gainesville Police Lieutenant Kevin Holbrook said it happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 7.

"Christopher Brandon Juarez, 23, of Winder was driving a 2025 Ford F-150 at a high rate of speed in the parking lot when he lost control and struck the two females," Holbrook said.

The two women, ages 21 and 19, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of what Holbrook referred to as "minor injuries." Juarez was arrested at the scene and charged with DUI and reckless driving.

As of Monday afternoon, a charge of "laying drag or reckless conduct with auto" has been added to Juarez's case. He's being held in the Hall County Jail on just over $2,400 bond.
