GAINESVILLE, Ga — Dominic Primato snagged an interception with under a minute to go, sealing East Forsyth's 3-0 start with a 21-14 win over Winder-Barrow.
The Broncos got a touchdown pass from Chase Rhoads to Trent Polk for 54 yards with under two minutes to play, followed by Jace Forrest's two-point conversion to take the 21-14 lead late, their first lead since late in the third quarter.
East Forsyth was first to the scoreboard late in the first half as Brooks Smallwood broke free for 86 yards and the game's opening touchdown. The 6-0 score stood at halftime before the Bulldoggs broke a 65-yard touchdown early in the second half to take a 7-6 lead.
Jackson Norman answered for the Broncos with a 69-yard sprint of his own late in the third quarter to retake the lead, 13-7, but WB struck right back on the ensuing kickoff to retake the lead.
East Forsyth will be on the road next week when they travel to Chestatee.
