Jackson EMC is now accepting applications for a grant program that aims to help middle school teachers bring creative and innovative programs to life in their classrooms.
The Bright Ideas program awards up to $2,000 to state-certified teachers for grades 6-8 within Jackson EMC’s coverage area. The funds are open to all school subjects, including science, math, art, technology, health and physical education. Projects should be innovative, actively engage students, and offer a lasting impact in the classroom.
“Supporting local educators is just one of the ways we invest in the future of our community,” Karen Ewing, community relations representative at Jackson EMC, said in a release. “Bright Ideas grants are all about helping our teachers bring powerful learning to life.”
The deadline to apply is Sept. 8. Applications are reviewed by an independent panel of judges with educational expertise to ensure a fair and high-quality selection process, according to Jackson EMC.
