ATHENS, Ga. — Former University of Georgia offensive lineman Josh Brock has been named the new color analyst for Georgia football games on the Georgia Bulldogs Sports Network, it was announced on Monday by Learfield and Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing.
Brock joins Director of Broadcast Operations and Voice of the Bulldogs Scott Howard in the radio booth following the recent transition of UGA record-setting quarterback Eric Zeier, who spent 18 seasons as an expert color analyst announcing games on the gridiron. Following his successful run as a collegiate and professional football player, Zeier brought insight, passion, and a deep connection to the Bulldogs throughout his tenure as color analyst.
“We are excited to have Josh join the best broadcast team in college football, said UGA senior associate athletic director Alan Thomas. “He will bring great perspective and will be a great fit with Scott Howard. We will miss Eric as he takes a step back from the booth, but we are excited to find new ways to use his insights and analysis in supporting roles of our programming.”
A seasoned media professional with over 15 years of sports broadcasting experience in the booth and on the sidelines, Brock brings a versatile background as the newly named color analyst. His extensive résumé includes two GABBY Awards and coverage of four State Championship games. Brock also has 10 years of experience on the Bulldogs Sports Network as an analyst and a regular contributor on Bulldogs Live and Dawg Talk Post Game Show. Brock is a graduate of Cartersville High School and the University of Georgia, where he was a three-year letterman on the UGA football team.
“I can’t wait to work with another great Bulldog,” Howard said. “I first met Josh during his playing days at UGA. He and Shock were teammates and will be again. With his knowledge of the game and Georgia, Josh will be a terrific addition to the Bulldogs Sports Network radio team.”
