DETROIT — Gainesville's Reese Olson will take the mound on Wednesday for Detroit as the Tigers try to extend a four-game home winning streak against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Olson made his first start on Friday after an extended stay on the Injured List, going 4 1/3 innings and allowing just one run against the Cleveland Guardians.
The Tigers (59-34) own the best record in the Major Leagues and are a whopping 32-14 at home this season.
Tampa Bay has a 49-43 record overall and is 21-18 on the road. This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams, with the Tigers holding a 3-2 advantage so far in the head-to-head matchup.
